It's been so exciting to watch James Jean's career evolve. I first became aware of the artist when I saw his breathtaking comic-book covers, particularly those for Bill Willingham's Fables. In recent years his work has appeared on everything from Prada handbags to illustrations for designer Phillip Lim.

Chronicle Books has produced some beautiful products based on Jean's dreamlike paintings and illustrations, including the book Rebus and the portfolio Kindling. Its latest offerings include a bundle of well-crafted notebooks (Schema) and Memu, a collection of 100 postcards stacked in a cloth-covered box.

This week I'm thrilled to be giving three Pop Candy readers a prize package that includes the postcards and notebooks. To enter, you must answer this question:

If you could meet any visual artist (living or dead), who would it be?

Send your responses to popcandy@usatoday.com with the subject line "ARTWORK" by April 24 at 5 p.m. ET. I'll notify the winners, which will be selected at random. Some answers may appear on the blog.

Good luck! See more of James' work at jamesjean.com.
