Pablo Picasso’s Illustrations for a Balzac Story

(from flavorwire.com
by Jason Diamond)

Pablo Picasso hated working on commission, but he also really loved literature. That probably explains why he had no problem illustrating a volume of Honoré de Balzac’s short story “The Hidden Masterpiece” (Le Chef-d’oeuvre inconnu), which Open Culture has dutifully dug up for us to admire.

*Blogger's note: I was going to post the 8 illustrations here click on Open Culture has dutifully dug up above for more of a story and all of the illustrations.
