It’s either too good to be true, or something our worst nightmares are made out of. Either way, Jason Schwartzman is playing a character that really resembles Philip Roth (named Philip Lewis Friedman) so much that they’re even using the font from Roth’s classic late 1960s and 70s books in the trailer for Listen Up Philip. This could go very wrong, or very right if they maybe lampoon the nervous, sex-obsessed writer. Either way, from the looks of the cast that includes Schwartzman, Elisabeth Moss, and Krysten Ritter, this Alex Ross Perry-directed film will definitely be worth checking into.
