Fantasy Friday

So last week for Fantasy Friday I talked about a book that was my my favorite fantasy book of all time The Never Ending Story.

Today I want to talk about a brand new book which I touched on last night and just started reading (and we have a giveaway for don't forget!) My Date From Hell (The Blooming Goddess Trilogy #2) by Tallulah Darling. First, I incorrectly said that was book one in the series, but My Ex From Hell (The Blooming Goddess Trilogy #1) is the first book. I became interested in this series because of the book blitz I did for Tallulah's book A Date of Godlike Proportions (The Blooming Goddess Trilogy #2.5). And just for your information the last book in the trilogy is My Life From Hell (The Blooming Goddess Trilogy #3).

My Date From Hell is listed on goodreads as a fantasy. It is also listed as YA, Mythology, and Romance. Mythology rocks. I always thought so. I actually have a board game my grandmother got me from I do not know where but it is similar to Monopoly and it is a lot of fun. Like instead of going to jail you to to Hades. Sounds cool right? I LOVE fantasy. And those of you who are regulars here all know I am doing my best with my promise of YA, and I am not big on romance by I will read it if it is good.

So I have this great new book that is a fantasy. And it is funny too. I love that about it so far that it is so funny. I do not know if there are any fantasy short stories. I would like to read one and review it. But for now, Fantasy Friday may be similar to Thursday Tea where, as I am busy being a homemaker, looking for a job, and blogging, I can have my little bit of time to read fantasy on Fridays. I can keep you posted on how good the book is and go through the series. The only other series I have read (I am not a big series person) was Lemony Snicket's A Series of Misfortunate Events.

So my Fantasy Friday will be me sitting on the recliner reading my new book. And it is long at 388 pages so I will be reading it for a while.

Then we can see what I am up to next Friday.

Speaking of fantasies, my non-book fantasy would be to redecorate the house. I believe I will accomplish that this year. So I will keep you posted on that as well.
