USA TODAY's Jocelyn McClurg scopes out the hottest books on sale each week.

1. Missing You by Harlan Coben (Dutton, fiction, on sale March 18)

What it's about: When NYPD detective Kat Donovan ventures onto an online dating site looking for love, she encounters her ex-fiancé, and real trouble.

The buzz: Coben's 2013 thriller Six Years landed at No. 1 last year on USA TODAY's Best-Selling Books list.

2. Here We Are Now by Charles R. Cross (It Books, non-fiction, on sale March 18)

What it's about: The author of Heavier Than Heaven, a bio of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, now looks at the grunge rocker's "lasting impact."

The buzz: It's timed to the 20th anniversary of Cobain's suicide on April 8, 1994, at age 27.

3. You Should Have Known by Jean Hanff Korelitz (Grand Central, fiction, on sale March 18)

What it's about: A couples counselor who thinks she has a perfect marriage is devastated by betrayal and murder; by the author of Admission.

The buzz: Entertainment Weekly called this "The Thriller We're Already Obsessed With" in its 2014 entertainment preview.

4. The Cairo Affair by Olen Steinhauer (Minotaur, fiction, on sale March 18)

What it's about: A woman returns to Egypt to untangle the international plot behind her diplomat husband's murder, and reconnect with her ex-lover, a CIA agent.

The buzz: It's an Indie Next pick of independent booksellers. "An extremely well-constructed page-turner," says Darwin Ellis of Books on the Common in Ridgefield, Conn.

5. Savage Harvest by Carl Hoffman (William Morrow, non-fiction, on sale March 18)

What it's about: Looks into the 1961 disappearance in New Guinea of Michael Rockefeller (of the famous family), amid rumors he was the victim of cannibals.

The buzz: It's an Amazon Best Book of the Month.
