I am sure you are all familiar with the story of me winning (up until a few days ago) a book everyday from goodreads.com and/or booklikes, as well as some random blogs I follow (contests I entered on there).
One day an ARC came to me and I was thrilled! I had plenty of time to read it and give you all a great review before the book was out.
But then a few days later, as I sat with stacks of books on the floor, I realized I remembered seeing "ARC" (for those of you who do not know that means Advanced Release Copy) in the giveaway information of a lot of those books. So I put them all in four neat piles and started getting out the pink sticky pad and looking up all of the ARC dates.
It is truly amazing that I did not miss more than I did. Some of them were coming up too quick and I had made other promises to read books for one author or another.I would have had to read some of these books in two days. Doable yes. But not feasible. But today I grabbed a book to look for a picture (I had a whole post I wanted to do about author's inside cover photos) and I saw in my scribble on a pink sticky on the cover "12/17". WOW! This book is short, I know it is going to move me, and I cannot believe I almost missed my chance to read this early and review it for you early.
I am not going to tell you the name of the book. Those of you who know me well will know when the review comes out why it was already special to me but you will see that there is a message of some sort in there for me. I just know it. And I will let you know. Now to find a bookmark. Like that is ever a problem around here. Especially since New York ComicCon. :)
