Plain Miscommunication - A Drabble

It was a clear day. People from Newark Airport boarded the plane to California. Only a touchdown in Texas before the final destination. It was the holidays and the passengers were feeling good, as was the crew, the pilot and co-pilot. The ride was smooth, passengers were happy. All of the sudden, the warning light was flashing in the cockpit. The pilot tried several things but to no avail. As he radioed in for help, they were asked how they were. The pilot said "We are about to crash in Oklahoma". All the person in the tower heard was "OK".
