REVIEW
I am doing a little informational piece today. I went to the website www.2dgoggles.com and that brought me to findingada.com. I read a very interesting review and the title of the article is
ADA LOVELACE DAY
Ada Lovelace Day is an international celebration of the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
This year, it was on 15 October, and next year it will be Tuesday 14 October 2014. Get that date in your diary because, yet again, we’ve got plans for an amazing event, and there’s no doubt that there will be fantastic events organised around the world!
The day might be over for this year, but you can still take part by writing a blog post about a woman in STEM and adding it to our map (see below).
Also, for the first time, we have produced a book! From the identification of the Horsehead Nebula to the creation of the computer program, from the development of in vitro fertilisation to the detection of pulsars, A Passion for Science: Stories of Discovery and Invention brings together inspiring stories of how we achieved some of the most important breakthroughs in science and technology.
We have some amazing stories written by some fantastic authors, so get your copy now for just £5.99 or read our sample chapters.
That is all that was on the site about the book. I did find it on bookreads.com here: A Passion For Science
No one has reviewed it yet. It was released on October 18th of this year.
So I hope all my little science and technology buddies will check this out. I found it to be very interesting.
