Local Author to Have Book Release Party at Acorn Books

(from sbwire.com)

Indianapolis, IN -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/06/2013 -- On December 6, 2013 author Adrianne James will releasing her new adult paranormal romance The Enlightening which is the second installment of her Mackenzie Duncan series. To celebrate, there will be a release party at her local bookstore, Acorn Books, the weekend after it’s release on December 15, 2013.

"I feel that Acorn Books is the perfect location for my book release party because they love books as much as I do.” Adrianne James said about the event. “So much so that the owners opened Acorn after the only bookstore in the area shut down simply because they couldn't imagine living in an area or raising kids in an area without a book store. They love local authors and will shelve books that many bookstores would turn away. As an indie, and a local, Acorn holds a special place in my heart and I am SO excited to celebrate the release of The Enlightening with readers at a place that we all can appreciate."

Mackenzie Duncan found out that pack life wasn’t for her. Now she is running for the second time in the six months since she was bitten and turned into a Werewolf. But this time, she isn’t alone. This time, she has Geoff and Liam with her, two very hot Werewolves vying for her heart.

But her companions aren't her focus. The only thing she can focus on is getting far from her old pack and their murderous ways. Only, she doesn’t just want to run. She wants to warn every pack she can that their lives are in danger too. No one should be turned against their will like she was and no other pack should have to surrender to the ideas of a centuries old, power hungry woman.

Not only does Mackenzie have to deal with her crazy ex-pack leader sending people out to kill her, she has to keep both men at arm’s length (and that proves to be much more difficult than she thought), but she finds out more about her own life and heritage than she ever thought imaginable. And suddenly, everything makes sense.

During the party James will be reading excerpts from her first book The Tempering and The Enlightening. There will also be were-wolf makeup tutorials to show readers how to gain a 'Wild Were' or a 'Lost in Nature' look and a raffle to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.

The Enlightening will be available in e-book and paperback formats on Amazon, Barnes & Noble on December 6, 2013.
