Hey, it's Fey: Tina Fey has been added to the BookCon lineup in New York, USA TODAY's Bob Minzesheimer reports. On May 30, she and actorJason Bateman will chat up their new movie, This Is Where I Leave You, based on the Jonathan Tropper novel. BookCon has been added this year to BookExpo America, the annual publishing trade show. Fey's pal Amy Poehler is also on the BookCon docket.

Recovering: Author Gabriel García Márquez is out of the hospital after a week-long stay in Mexico for a lung infection. Officials say the Nobel laureate for literature and the author of One Hundred Years of Solitude remains in "delicate" condition, "due to his age." He is 87.

His next 'Act': A new Ian McEwan novel is coming this fall, Doubleday announced Wednesday. The Children Act is due Sept. 9 under the Nan A. Talese imprint. The novel explores "the ethical dilemmas when religious conviction seeks to prevent medical intervention" and is "emotionally wrenching," says the publisher. McEwan's best-selling novels include Atonement, Saturday and Sweet Tooth; the latter has been optioned by Working Title Films.

The bear facts: A new Paddington bear book is due from HarperCollins in November,Galley Cat reports. In Love from Paddington, the traveling Peruvian bear will explain how he arrived at Paddington Station in London. More good news for bear fans: the film Paddington is due in December.

'90s nostalgia: Stephen Graham Jones on The Huffington Post looks back at 20 books from the 1990s that he thinks are still pretty great. His choices include The Secret History by Donna Tartt (she of the fabulous The Goldfinch), Jurassic Park byMichael Crichton and The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien.
