OMG. Best. Book. Trailer. EVER. Lori Foster's video for Dash of Peril debuts right here (exclusively!) at HEA, and you will want to watch it over and over … and then you'll want to head over to Lori's Facebook page to see the … um, well, less-PG-rated version. First, here's Lori for an introduction to Dash of Peril (which comes out March 25) …
Lori: I just love, love, love the video book trailers that Aaron Brown from Onion Creek Productions created for my Love Undercover series — Run the Risk, Bare It All and Getting Rowdy. Each one is unique, always has a twist, and is sexy with loads of fun. You can see them all on my YouTube page.
With the Dash of Peril video book trailer, Aaron outdid himself! It's my absolute favorite. But as I first watched it — smiling all the way through — I got a little worried that it might be a bit too sexy. Don't get me wrong — that only made me love it more! BUT ... I had concerns about sharing it on public social-media sites like Facebook, where I've already been warned once just because I showed a *still shot* from the video that was 100% fine without anything too racy showing. (Yes, I'm still grumbling over that. They deleted my picture for no good reason.)
So anyhoo ... it seemed prudent to take preemptive measures, like creating a PG version of the video for social sharing, which you have here. Still totally awesome. Still hot. But definitely toned down. I can already hear you grumbling, saying you want the "R for Racier" version, too. Am I right? Of course I am. If you're reading this, then you're probably one of my readers, and that means you enjoy sexy books. Why not sexy videos, too?
Thanks to my incredible Web team at Wax Creative, we have a solution: a "Members Only" section on my Facebook page. It's still being fleshed out, but from the MO section you'll not only get weekly — sometimes daily — contests, promo offers, excerpts and other exclusive content, but you can see the original, racier version of the video.
How does it work? Once you've LIKED my Facebook fan page, you should be able to access the "Members Only" section. There's a tab next to "Photos" at the top of the page — black box with purple text that reads: MEMBERS ONLY.
Be sure you're viewing the Facebook page using a browser and not an app. If all you have is a cellphone or other smart device, please look for the post on my wall giving you a link. It'll be a black box that says READER CONTEST, and I post it often. If you have any problems, just let me know and I'll help.
I so very much hope you love the "Members Only" section. And I KNOW you're going to love the video. It perfectly suits Lt. Margaret Peterson and Dashiel "Dash" Riske. With one little thing being very different from the actual book. But I'll let you read the book to see what that might be.
Pssst ... it has to do with the very last scene. ;-)
