Well I Seem To Have Been Missing Out!

I am aware today is Wednesday, but I have never checked my Twitter account early on Wednesday. Apparently, most bloggers and readers have a "Hump Day" read.

Well a few days ago I told you what books I was reading. And I also wrote an article about what books I purchased.

(You have to look in the archives) :)

I have a secret Hump Day read. I cannot tell you about it yet but that is what I will most likely be reading and finishing today.

I will also be reading Buried Appearances by D.E. Haggerty which is turning out to be really good. It is a historical fiction book. A first of this genre for me.

Skylar Dewitt has been ostracized her entire life due to her grandfather’s well-known sympathies with the Nazis. But now her grandfather’s body has been recovered in the Netherlands in an area famous for being a Nazi killing ground. Why would her grandfather be buried in a place legendary for assassinations of resistance members? Skylar jets off to Holland in search of answers about her grandfather’s demise. Along the way she finds long-lost family and old friends but will she solve the mystery of what happened to her grandfather? And maybe she discovers something more valuable than resolving any mystery could be: herself

My next book would be The Wet and The Dry by Lawrence Osborne which is fascinating! I am really enjoying this.

I could not find a description for this book! But the whole title may help you out

The Wet and The Dry: Ventures into Worlds Where Alcohol Is Embraced...or Forbidden

And what kind of Hump Day would it be if I had not already started Beyond 100 Drabbles by Jonathan Hill and Kath Middleton.

The world of drabbles awaits you!

A drabble tells a story in precisely 100 words, and this book is packed with drabbles that will move, shock and entertain.

'Beyond 100 Drabbles' features 120 new miniature works, written by two of today’s most formidable drabblers. Jonathan Hill and Kath Middleton showcase some of their finest drabbles here, resulting in a collection that demonstrates the indisputable power of this popular flash fiction form.

The authors cover a plethora of genres and even take the drabble one step further by interacting in a series of ‘challenge drabbles’.

The stories are ideal for reading back to back, or individually in spare moments. The question is, can you stop at just one?

(just a note-I had this prepared at around 12:30p EST and I had a major problem with my laptop. I did get to do my traveling and was very happy, given the laptop situation, that I brought my secret "Hump Day" book with me because I am almost done with it now, and then I can give you a review. So I apologize this is going up so late in the Hump Day. I hope my computer will behave better next week. Maybe it needed a Hump Day break!)
