The Today Show has chosen John Green's The Fault in Our Stars as the latest pick for the show's book club.

The pick comes just in time for readers to catch up on the novel before the film adaptation, starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, hits theaters on June 6. Today Show Book Club members will be able to join in a Google+ hangout with Green and the movie's stars live from the red carpet at the premiere.

The novel, published in 2012, has spent 105 weeks on USA TODAY's Best-Selling Books list, reaching No. 1. It follows two young teens in a cancer support group who fall in love. In Bob Minzesheimer's four-star review of the book, he calls it a "pitch-perfect, elegiac comedy" that is "alternately grim and sweet."
