Skin Game, the 15th book in Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series about Harry Dresden, a professional wizard in modern-day Chicago, won't be released until May 27. But to stir interest, Butcher's publisher, NAL, discounted prices on the series' first seven books.
All seven make USA TODAY's Best-Selling books list. The most popular, at No. 20.
Butcher, 42, has said he he got hooked on fantasy when he was 7 and read C.S. Lewis' classic, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. By 8, he had read the rest of Lewis' Narnia books and every book about Star Wars he could find.
Butcher's book tour for Skin Game includes visits to two big fan fests: Wyrd Con Interactive Theater Convention in Los Angeles (May 22-26) and Phoenix Comic Con (June 5-8).
